Mike Cassidy Lic.Ac. M.B.Ac.C.

Mike trained in body acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading.
He is fully insured and is a member of the
British Acupuncture Council, the UK's main regulating body for traditional acupuncture. Mike has also been trained in the use of ear (or auricular) acupuncture and Japanese styles of acupuncture.

He has previously been a member of the British Acupuncture Council's research committee, which is involved with the promotion and dissemination of acupuncture-related research, and has supervised B.Sc. acupuncture students completing their final year dissertation at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.

Mike is also actively involved in community based projects. He was part of a team of acupuncturists who travelled to Sri Lanka to provide acupuncture for the victims of the recent Tsunami. During that trip he taught a group of local Sri Lankan Buddhist monks and Ayurvedic students the basic techniques of ear acupuncture to empower them to continue to help their local community. The team treated over 2000 people during their three week trip.

Camille Van De Velde Lic.Ac. M.B.Ac.C.

Camille graduated as a Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture (LCTA). Having returned to Belgium after this, she followed up with her private practice as well as working in a successful Acupuncture & Chiropractic clinic in Antwerp, where she was regularly working with children. Her main interests are in the application of acupuncture to obstetrics and pediatrics, as well as voluntary work for patients with HIV/AIDS.

Emily Lowe Lic.Ac. M.B.Ac.C.

After successfully completing a science and language based BSc (Hons) degree at Southampton University, Emily became increasingly interested in Chinese philosophy, especially surrounding health and medicine. She subsequently completed intensive training at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine to earn her BSc (Hons) and Licentiate of Acupuncture.

Her interest and experience in the practice of Oriental healing arts dates back to the late 1990s when she took up the study of T'ai Chi Chuan, Chi Gung and meditation to better understand the workings of both body and mind. Emily has a special interest in the area of pregnancy and childbirth and was invited by the Royal College of Midwives to talk on this subject in July 2008.
